After 109 years of serving the Bartlesville and surrounding community, we believe we at the Richard Kane YMCA know how to create programs that help meet these needs.

WHY THE Y

MEMBERSHIP FOR ALL

At our Y, families grow strong together, we provide safe spaces for kids and youth, we teach life saving skills, and give opportunity for adults and kids alike to find connection and accountability in healthy living.

As our community faces financial and social pressures, we desire to continue to be able to offer our support by providing these services to all who can benefit from them, regardless of their financial situation.

As a 501c3 non profit, we depend on the generosity of our donors. Our Annual Campaign helps to sustain the Membership for All program, which makes Y membership a possibility for many who would otherwise find it out of reach. This program also provides scholarships for area youth to participate in youth sports and swim lessons.

BROAD IMPACT

“From cradle to grave” our CEO, Robert Phillips, likes to say, referring to the broad reach of the YMCA to members of all ages. The uniqueness of the Y is that we have something for everyone at every stage of life.

The Annual Campaign supports:

• Membership Scholarships for those who may be experiencing challenging life circumstances. We pride ourselves in being able to meet people in a moment of need, and help to get them back on their feet - happier, healthier, and with the Y community cheering them on.  
• Before & After School Care - discounts for Bartlesville Public School teachers & scholarships for others who need safe spaces for their children while they work
• Scholarships for Summer Camps - keeping summers fun and active for area youth  
• Youth Sports Scholarships - financial assistance scholarships so that every child has a chance to gain skills, practice teamwork, and stay active 
• Swim lessons - our YMCA, in proud partnership with the Bartlesville Regional United Way (BRUW), provides on average over 1000 swim lessons per year, including those offered through our Safety Around Water (SAW) program. A portion of Annual Campaign funds go to support additional YMCA aquatics costs and direct scholarships for swim lessons.
