2021 Fall Sideline Cheerleading is where team players are made! The YMCA youth cheerleading program promotes and upholds team spirit and develops good sportsmanship. Each cheer squad is a vocal leader on the football field every Saturday. YMCA Sideline Cheer introduces age-appropriate cheer motions, jumps, tumbling skills, chants, stunting, and cheer-style dance in a safe and fun environment. We strive to develop young athletes by improving physical condition, teaching skills, help develop feelings of self-worth, and to have a sportsmanlike attitude. Our Cheer program is within the Indian Nations Football Conference (INFC). Please note that spots are filled on a first come first serve basis.
Refund Policy: No refunds will be granted after July 20, 2021. There is a $25.00 processing fee on all refunds.
All players must have a sports physical completed by their family doctor (form link provided below). All guardians must provide their player's coach a copy of the child's birth certificate. These items must be turned in for your child to be allowed to pay.
The YMCA will provide all players a uniform, top (shell), skirt, and jacket. Players are responsible for the purchase of spanks, shoes, socks, bows, crops, and leggings. Additional uniform items can be purchased wherever the guardian chooses. Fitting dates for rented uniforms will be set at a later date and sent out via email.
Program Scholarships are available by completing a Financial Assistance Packet with the YMCA.
All YMCA sports programs rely on volunteer coaches to make each season possible. Each team is in need of 1-2 coaches to make the season successful. Volunteer coaches must pass a background check to be a part of this program. Volunteer coaches are required to pay for their cheer training (this training is specific and will be provided after registration). Registration to be a volunteer coach is required for ALL who will work directly with the players.
