The purpose of YMCA Youth Recreational Cheer is to develop the fundamentals of cheer, while giving youth an opportunity to learn a new sport and skills. Through this program, in cooperation with Bartlesville Youth Cheer, participants learn the value of hard work, working together as a squad, and will improve individual skills and confidence. Young cheerleaders are encouraged in teamwork, and even have opportunities for community service.

• 3rd - 6th grade - recreational INFC Sideline Cheer league 
  • Registers through Sportabase

2024 Cheer Committee

Youth Recreational Cheer will be run in coordination with a new Youth Cheerleading Committee, formed out of Bartlesville Recreational Cheer, in order to provide additional support and collaboration for this stage of Youth Cheer. The vision is to allow opportunities for cheerleaders to develop in a recreational environment that paves the way for later cheer involvement and team participation in the Bartlesville School District.

The new Youth Cheer's Committee’s goals are to:

• Grow youth cheer participation in Bartlesville and surrounding areas
• Give youth athletes opportunity for eventual integration directly into the Bartlesville High School Cheer Program 
• To partner with the Richard Kane YMCA to provide resources for every team to be as successful as possible as they work towards play at the High School level.
