The purpose of YMCA Youth Recreational Cheer is to develop the fundamentals of cheer, while giving youth an opportunity to learn a new sport and skills. Through this program, in cooperation with Bartlesville Youth Cheer, participants learn the value of hard work, working together as a squad, and will improve individual skills and confidence. Young cheerleaders are encouraged in teamwork, and even have opportunities for community service.
YMCA Youth Cheer Registration
Youth Recreational Cheer will be run in coordination with a new Youth Cheerleading Committee, formed out of Bartlesville Recreational Cheer, in order to provide additional support and collaboration for this stage of Youth Cheer. The vision is to allow opportunities for cheerleaders to develop in a recreational environment that paves the way for later cheer involvement and team participation in the Bartlesville School District.
